We've just returned from a 3 night stay at Villa Ducale, and had a wonderful time The reviews are all correct - the staff are all so friendly and welcoming, breakfast on the terrace is the best I've had in Sicily and the views are amazing!
As soon as we arrived, Paulo gave us a hearty welcome,

and after seeing my grumpy expression, proceeded to wave us towards a wonderful, candlelit terrace and promptly arrived with two large chilled glasses of white wine (on the house, it turned out), which did the trick!
Watching the sun go down and the fantastic view certainly melted away any fury I had, and so were soon enjoying our fab room with brilliant sea view. We were even given a complimentary bottle of red wine in our room, and sitting on our private terrace winding down was just perfect.
We had a great time at Villa Ducale, and would definitely stay here again!
