The 11 Double rooms and 6 suites of Taormina Hotel Villa Ducale are all themed and individually furnished in typical Sicilian style. The traditional décor, finished off in the smallest detail, may vary fromraw stonework walls and wrought iron beds, to coral frames and tiled terracotta floorings. All antiques and painted ceramics are handmade by local artisans who preserve Sicily's most precious traditions. Comfortable King size bed or 2 twin beds, dressed in soft hand-crocheted linens, ensure a deep and relaxing sleep.

All our rooms feature a stunning view: over Giardini-Naxos bay or Mount Etna or Italy fascinating mainland coastline and Messina strait; some of them have a private terrace with sun beds and parasol, some have a charming standing balcony with wrought iron table and armchair from where you can enjoy the gentle breeze of the Mediterranean.

Services

As Villa Ducale is a boutique hotel with only 17 rooms, the service is personal and attentive. The staff is pleased to suggest local restaurants or places to visit. They are very caring with their guests and they can satisfy any request: birthday cakes, personal cooking lessons, wine tasting or a vintage car at airport.

The buffet breakfast is served every morning on the panoramic terrace overlooking Taormina and the sea. The buffet includes delicious Sicilian specialities and typical cakes, all hand-made with fresh, genuine ingredients.

SUNSET COCKTAIL – every day at 6 PM, the panoramic terrace stages a Sunset cocktail with complimentary Sicilian appetizers and canapés.

" The boutique Taormina hotel VILLA DUCALE is run with warmth and personal style by the charming and elegant Rosaria Quartucci. Arriving on a sunny afternoon, we were ushered into the hotel lounge, where we were confronted by startling eagle’s nest views of both Mount Etna and the Mediterranean coastline. Minimal formalities dispensed with, Signora Quartucci explained our many options while in Taormina, including the various beach clubs, the hotel’s regular shutt le bus into town and her favorite restaurants.


The 11 rooms and six suites at the property are divided between the original villa, with west-facing inland views, and an annex across the road, which looks toward Calabria on the Italian mainland. We instantly fell in love with our suite in the annex, since it enjoyed afternoon shade and came with colorful faience tile floors, a large sitting room and a spacious bedroom. Both bedroom and sitting room had vaulted brick  ilings and topaz-painted walls adorned with gilt-framed red coral and pearl needlework, a local tradition.
