This was a surprise trip for my wife, for her 30th Birthday from her parents. The hotel had excellent reviews, but
everything we could have expected was surpassed. The hotel is interesting with each room different and individual. It also has a perfect view of Mt, Etna and Taormina.
The staff were the most friendly and helpful I have ever come across, genuinely lovely people. The food in the hotel is also excellent and a lovely touch that the chef always wants to know how you enjoyed the meal. She is then genuinely pleased if you enjoyed the food. There are numerous little touches that make the stay special (beach bag provided with towels, great restaurants booked and recommended, biscuits with drinks etc), far too many to list.
Staying in a hotel like this makes me want to avoid big chains in future, I just hope there are other hotels out there as good as this. The whole holiday was perfect, from the hotel, the food, the people and the beautiful surroundings.
