Breakfast at Villa Ducale is a very important part of the day. Every morning from 7.30 we serve our celebrated morning buffet on our panoramic terrace which looks out over the Mediterranean sea and Mount Etna.
The table is personally set by our pastry chef Carmelo and you will find a generous selection of Sicilian cakes, home made buiscuits, croissants, cannoli and other small pastries which change every day. But we also offer cerealslocal yougurts and local fresh fruits together with Mount Etna honey, organic fruit jams and 5 different kinds of bread.
The breakfasts were simply astounding, from the range of food available to the taste of the food and the service, all with one of the most breathtaking views in the world, including watching the steam and smoke coming from Mt Etna.
Knowing you will no doubt be a lover of fine Italian coffee, then Villa Ducale serves great espresso and cappuccino using the world’s best Italian coffee, Illy Caffè.
Guests can also enjoy delicious Sicilian and Italian savoury specialities based on organic and fresh local ingredients and all cooked with the best extra virgin olive oil from our island. Don’t be surprised to find local salami and colorful vegetables dishes made with aubergines, zucchini, olives, capsicum, artichokes and spinach. Home made quiches and salads also feature as does our celebrated Caprese salad
Our sumptuous breakfast buffet concludes with a large selection of dairy cheeses, fresh mozzarella, local ricotta and cold meats such as prosciutto and Parma ham
